I was raised in Magnolia Springs and am the oldest of three girls.  My parents taught us to love learning at a very early age and I am so thankful for that!  I grew up spending most of my time on the river and that's still one of my favorite things to do!  I have been married for 5 years to my very sweet husband Cory and we have a beautiful baby girl, Harleigh Reese!  We are so blessed to have such a miracle in our lives and we are so thankful!  My parents have been so helpful in getting my classroom ready and many days you can find my Mom, Mrs. Liz, at the school volunteering!

I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Alabama.  This will be my 6th year of teaching at Magnolia School and I love it!  I love to teach and feel very fortunate to work at such a wonderful school!  I have been blessed with sweet students, caring parents, and helpful co-workers!

I have learned that it is more important to focus on the positive behaviors of children than the negative ones.  I want all my students to feel welcome and love learning as much as I do!  I will be implementing a positive behavior system rather than a rewards/consequences system.  I will not be operating on a "rules" basis in my classroom, but instead I have expectations that I want my students to achieve.  I believe that instilling in students the need for high personal expectations will help them start out on a lifetime of success!  Students in my class will enter the Jungle everyday with an attitude of being WILD About Learning!
